We recently had a successful second meeting of our Chinese Club last Tuesday, with special congratulations to Ping! Our seniors had a wonderful time at the wellness centre, enjoying activities that resonate deeply with their culture. Mahjong, a beloved game in China, brought immense joy to our clients as they played with friends. Additionally, this session featured a singing class, adding to the fun.
Our wellness centre provides a space where seniors can spend quality time with their community, engaging in conversations, laughter, and shared activities. These interactions are vital for mental health, reducing loneliness, and fostering a sense of belonging. We also offer morning tea and lunch during our sessions.
We welcome anyone aged 65 and above who could benefit from social interaction and engaging activities to join our Chinese Club. The next meeting is on April 8th. The cost is $20 without transport and $25 with transport included. It’s a fantastic opportunity for seniors to connect, participate in enjoyable activities, and feel supported in a warm and welcoming environment.
