Our Story.

A story grounded in community, shaped by culture.

Cura Aged Care was established in 2013 as the aged care and community services arm of the Multicultural Communities Council Gold Coast (MCCGC).

But our story began long before that...

From Community Beginnings to Cura.

Cura Aged Care grew directly from this work.

The name “Cura” means care — and that remains at the heart of everything we do. Today, we provide personalised, culturally responsive aged care that supports people to live safely and confidently in their own homes, while staying connected to their community.

As part of MCCGC, our work is grounded in over 40 years of experience supporting multicultural communities on the Gold Coast. We understand that aged care is not one-size-fits-all — and that culture, language and life experience shape what good care looks like. That’s why we take the time to listen, understand, and walk alongside each person we support.

Looking Ahead.

From our early beginnings as a grassroots organisation to the service, we are today, our purpose has remained the same, to help people feel valued, understood and at home.
As our community continues to grow and change, so will we…always guided by care, connection and respect.

More About Our Organisation.

Our Impact.

For over 40 years, our work has been shaped by the needs of our community. From supporting older people to live independently, to creating spaces for connection and belonging, our impact is felt in the everyday lives of the people we support.

Our People.

Our team is at the heart of everything we do. Made up of people from diverse cultures and backgrounds, we take the time to listen, understand and provide care that feels right for each individual.

Corporate Governance.

As part of MCCGC, we are committed to strong, transparent governance and responsible decision-making. This ensures the care we provide is safe, accountable and focused on what matters most; our community.
