Rebecca Pacey
Chairperson
Rebecca has held senior executive roles in the Resources, IT, Professional Services, and Aged Care sectors. She has a diverse background in strategy, business transformation, and digitalisation through technology, with a great passion for people and culture. Rebecca is currently the Chief People & Transformation Officer at Infinite Care, a trusted national aged care provider. A strong advocate for diversity and inclusion, she ensures that culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) interests are considered in all people-related decisions. Rebecca has worked in various countries across the Asia Pacific region, held global roles, and lived in several countries outside of Australia.
Leon Rebello
Director
Leon Rebello MP is the Federal Member for McPherson, representing the southern Gold Coast region. He serves as Deputy Chair of the Foreign Affairs and Aid subcommittee, and works closely with multicultural communities, schools, small businesses, and grassroots organisations. Before entering Parliament, Leon practised as a foreign investment lawyer at King & Wood Mallesons and served on the ministerial staff of former Foreign Minister Julie Bishop. He holds a combined degree in Law and International Relations and has studied in Australia, China, France, and the Netherlands. Leon is a strong advocate for young people and inclusive community outcomes.

Dr Mirela Malin
Director
Mirela is a Senior Lecturer in Finance at Griffith Business School, specialising in teaching Corporate Finance at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. She is fluent in Romanian and holds a Bachelor of Business, a Bachelor of International Finance (Honours), and a PhD from Griffith University. Her published research focuses on Higher Education Teaching as well as Behavioural Finance. Mirela is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD), a member of Griffith Centre for Personal Finance and Superannuation, and a senior associate of Financial Services Institute of Australia (FINSIA). Mirela held the position of Deputy Director of the Griffith MBA and Director of Learning and Teaching in the Department of Accounting, Finance, and Economics at Griffith Business School.

Saminda Arambewala
Director
Saminda Arambewala is an executive leader, researcher and strategy and operations consultant with experience across financial services, government and other regulated and public-interest environments. He has held senior executive, consulting and academic roles across Australia and the UK. A former Chief Operating Officer in the insurance sector, Saminda has led strategy, transformation, governance, operations and organisational delivery across complex environments. He brings to MCCGC a strong focus on multicultural leadership, inclusion and the contribution culturally diverse communities make to Australia’s workforce, economy and society.

Ainslie Anne Cunningham
Company Secretary
Ainslie is a Co-Founder and Director of the corporate governance consulting firm, 3YS Owls, and acts as company secretary for various companies in Australia. Ainslie is a former Non-Executive Director of the GIA Board and CGI National Council. She is a qualified company secretary and a Certified Practising Risk Manager, a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia (GIA) and Chartered Governance Institute (CGI), and is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and Risk Management Institute of Australasia. Ainslie has held various corporate governance, company secretarial, and risk management roles over the past 20 years with global ASX publicly listed companies, predominantly in the resources, retail, and financial services sectors.

Shane leads Cura Aged Care with more than 30 years of leadership experience, guiding the organisation with a steady focus on quality, safety and community connection. He ensures our services remain responsive, inclusive and aligned with the evolving needs of seniors across Southern Queensland. Through his strategic direction, Shane supports innovation, strengthens care delivery and fosters the strong community relationships that underpin Cura’s mission.

Jessica oversees the day‑to‑day operations of Cura Aged Care Services and MCCGC’s Community Programs, ensuring services run smoothly and consistently for the people we support. With extensive operational leadership experience, she drives service excellence, regulatory compliance and sustainable growth across both teams. Jessica is deeply committed to community wellbeing and compassionate care, guiding her work with a strong focus on quality, connection and positive outcomes.
Emily Clauss
Head of Business & Stakeholder Development
Emily leads Cura Aged Care’s strategic communications and marketing, ensuring our voice remains clear, trusted and grounded in community. She drives purposeful storytelling, relationship‑building and meaningful partnerships that strengthen Cura’s presence across South‑East Queensland and Northern New South Wales, supporting our mission to deliver culturally inclusive aged care support.

CFO
Goran provides strategic financial leadership to ensure Cura Aged Care’s long‑term sustainability. With a strong focus on financial stewardship, efficiency and responsible resource management, he supports the organisation to deliver high‑quality aged care services and maintain stability for the seniors and communities we serve.

Eileen is the Head of Shared Services at Cura Aged Care and MCCGC, bringing over 20 years’ experience in business transformation, governance and corporate services across community, government and education sectors. She specialises in people and culture, business improvement and organisational change, and is committed to building strong teams and delivering people‑centred systems that support senior communities.

Our Cura Service Manager, Kathleen Karlovecz, plays a key role in ensuring every participant receives safe, consistent, and high‑quality care. She provides clear direction and quality assurance to our Care Partner team, overseeing the day‑to‑day operations that support older people across our aged care programs.
Kathleen’s champions our care coordination, service delivery, and the management of our Wellness Centre in Ashmore — ensuring it remains a welcoming space for connection, wellbeing, and community engagement. By building strong partnerships with agencies, community organisations, and local stakeholders, Kathleen helps ensure essential services reach those who need them most. Through her dedication to inclusivity, quality care, and compliance, she supports Cura’s mission to provide safe, person-centred care for every participant.
