Services Include.
Supported transport with a Cura Support Worker may include:
Medical Appointments
Travel to doctors, specialists, hospitals and allied health services.
Personal Errands
Trips to the pharmacy, post office or grocery shopping.
Direct Transport
A car and driver provided (such as a Cura support worker)
Indirect Transport
Taxi or rideshare vouchers to help cover transport costs (available under Support at Home)
Services Exclude.
Transport assistance does not include:
- Costs related to your own vehicle (fuel, registration, insurance, servicing)
- Public transport fares
- Travel for holidays or recreational trips outside your approved support
- Driving lessons or licence renewal fees
- Long‑distance or interstate travel not related to your care needs

How Can I Access This Service?
Accompanied transport assistance can be accessed through:
Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP).
Entry‑level support for older people who need one or two basic services to stay safe and independent at home.
Support at Home Program.
For people with more complex or ongoing care needs. This program provides access to services, assistive technology, and home modifications to help you remain living at home for longer.
Your My Aged Care assessor will determine your eligibility and the level of accompanied transport support you can receive. You can also choose to access transport as a self-funded service at any time.
