About the role:

This position will be to provide assistance to the Employment & Training team with operational tasks and duties, while studying towards a Certificate III in Business, to engage in on-the-job experience, and develop through learning opportunities.

This position is a 12-month fixed-term traineeship, ideal for a recent school-leaver. As this is an entry-level position, the Trainee will be paid according to the relevant Award which will range between $11-$20 per hour depending on certain variables.

About Yourself
  • What you will do:
    • Meet and greet clients and community members on arrival into the office.
    • Respond to incoming inquiries.
    • Manage email correspondence and provide pertinent information in responses.
    • Ensure open, collaborative, and transparent working relationships with team members.
    • Maintain student and participant information in databases.
    • Participate in workshops, training sessions, networking events, and functions to enhance the visibility of MCCGC.
    • Support effective coordination of meeting rooms and provision of food for students, clients, and visitors.
    • Guide migrants interested in MCCGC programs supporting communities.
    • Attend regular team meetings and trainings as required.
    • Scan and file signed forms.
    • Support other administration duties.
    • Provide additional support to co-workers as needed.
  • About you:
    • No experience required.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Competence in computer applications and software
    • Interest in working in a culturally and linguistically diverse environment.
    • Proactive and self-motivated, with great time management skills.
    • Current National Police Certificate (or ability to obtain one).

Please note: To be eligible, you must be an Australian citizen, Permanent Resident, or hold a valid visa that allows you to work and undertake training in Australia. Previous qualifications may affect the required funding for this traineeship.
