Make Meaningful Social Connections

Social connections play a huge role in the wellbeing and happiness of everyone, but especially seniors and those with disabilities who may find it harder to get out into the community. At CÜRA, we know that maintaining a vibrant social life is essential for your health and quality of life. That’s why we offer a range of services and programs specifically designed to foster social connections, especially for seniors or those accessing NDIS support.

The Importance Of Social Connections For Seniors

At CÜRA, we believe that social connection is a fundamental aspect of your care. We never underestimate the importance of social connections for seniors. In fact, research shows that social engagement contributes to seniors’ emotional wellbeing and overall life satisfaction. Having social connections reduces the risk of loneliness, isolation, and mental health issues.

Through our social initiatives and groups, we create opportunities for seniors to connect with like-minded individuals, form meaningful friendships, and engage in fun activities. These initiatives and social groups provide a supportive and inclusive environment where seniors can share experiences, interests, and laughter.

From outings and events to group exercises and workshops, our aim is to create a vibrant community filled to the brim with social interaction and personal growth.

Cura Aged Care Ndis Social Groups 56

NDIS Social Groups

Our NDIS Support Coordinators can help to match your needs with NDIS social groups, helping you to find social outings or activities in your local area. These activities might be available through your NDIS plan or simply through organised community events. They might include active adventures like hiking and canoeing, creative pursuits like painting, sports, or community projects like farming or gardening.

Social Visits

Everyone, young and old, deserves to feel valued and connected. Yet as we age, maintaining meaningful social connections becomes more important than ever – and not just with family and friends. Whether it’s engaging in heartfelt conversations, sharing stories, playing games, or simply listening, our compassionate caregivers love to brighten the day of our customers.

Individual & Group Social Outings

Getting out of the house and connecting with friends, family and others is so important. At CÜRA, we offer individual and group social outings specifically designed for elderly people. These outings provide an opportunity for seniors to engage in enjoyable activities, explore new places, and create meaningful connections. Whether it’s a visit to a local museum, a leisurely walk in the park, or a group excursion to a cultural event, our social outings cater to all kinds of diverse interests and preferences.

In The Community

We offer a range of community services to assist seniors in getting around, keeping their appointments, and engaging with friends and family. From transport services to assisted shopping, accompanied appointments, social outings and events at our Wellness Centre, we can ensure our senior community stays connected.

We highly recommend CÜRA as a Home Care Provider. We had a very unfortunate time with our first provider and after careful consideration we joined CÜRA and have had a wonderful relationship with them for the past 2 years. The greatest bliss for us has been the fact that we have one continuous carer, Robin, who is trustworthy and so caring of Dot.
