In September, we had the privilege of celebrating Japanese Seniors Day 2023 at our Wellness Centre, a heartwarming event filled with vibrant performances with the Sakura Japanese dance group, delicious Japanese food, and, above all, a sense of togetherness that truly warmed our hearts.
This special occasion brought the Japanese community together in a beautiful demonstration of appreciation and love for our seniors.
It was a day to honour their wisdom, cherish their stories, and celebrate their valuable contributions. We had the participation of the Consulate-General of Japan, Brisbane, Mr. Gomakubo, and chef Mr. Suzuk; the President of the Japanese Society of Gold Coast, Yukari Ando; and Police Liaison Officer (QPS) Nao Hirano. And a big thank you to Hiro Hasegawa from Hope Island Physio for the generous gift donation.
