We are excited to share that Care Advisor Fatemeh Haidari has become an Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) as of June 2024. Fatemeh has a Ph.D. in nutrition and a strong background in nutrition and dietetics, with lots of experience in research and teaching. She moved from Iran to Australia in November 2022 on a Global Talent Visa. Despite her impressive qualifications, she found it difficult to get a job in her field because she didn’t have local experience. To overcome this, she completed a Certificate III and a Diploma in Community Services. She then joined MCCGC as a language support worker in July 2023 and later became a Care Advisor in April 2024.
Becoming an APD required her to go through a tough process called Dietetic Skills Recognition, which included an English language exam and several written and oral exams. Fatemeh passed all these exams on her first try. Her determination and positive attitude have been key to her success, and she is excited to start helping our clients with her expertise.
