April Japanese Club Highlights

Our April Japanese Club was held as planned last Tuesday, 22nd April, in our Wellness Centre. This time, we had Hawaiian dancers as the highlight of the day. A beautiful dance group with wonderful ladies visited our Wellness Centre to perform their dances, swaying like flowers to smooth, beautiful music. Our seniors had a fun time watching their dances, and it was lovely to see them quietly dancing in their seats. Every Japanese Club has new programs, and this one was full of fun activities like exercise, playing bingo, watching Japanese TV shows, and of course, enjoying the beautiful morning tea and lunch provided by our Wellness Centre. As usual, our dedicated Japanese home care workers, Yasuko, Chika, and Tomoko, along with our cook Joyce and volunteers Masa and Masako, provided beautiful service. Stay tuned for next month’s Japanese Club event on 27th May with exciting surprises!

Cultural Activities

Cultural activities, like those offered at our Japanese Club, provide seniors with an opportunity to connect with their heritage and share their traditions with others. These activities can be particularly meaningful for seniors from diverse backgrounds, as they offer a sense of familiarity and comfort. Participating in cultural events can also help to keep the mind sharp and engaged, as seniors learn new skills and engage in creative pursuits. Our Wellness Centre is designed to cater to the unique needs and interests of our seniors, offering a wide range of activities that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
