Our Fatemeh Haidari, an Accredited Practising Dietitian with a PhD in Nutrition and Dietetics, recently gave a lecture to students from Nagoya Women’s University during their short study tour in Australia. The students were accompanied by their teacher, Associate Professor Michiko Tsuji, PhD, from the Department of Health and Nutrition, Faculty of Health and Science. Fatemeh Haidari’s lecture focused on the role of dietitians and nutritionist, a global perspective and the specialties of Australian dietetics and nutrition, emphasizing the country’s multicultural dietary perspectives. She discussed how dietitians and nutritionists address mood regulation, mental health, weight management, and elderly nutrition, including special considerations for appetite loss, nutrient absorption, protein intake, and hydration in older adults.
The lecture concluded with an engaging Q&A session, where students asked Fatemeh Haidari various questions.
