Make Meaningful Social Connections

Social connections play a huge role in the wellbeing and happiness of everyone, but especially seniors and those with disabilities who may find it harder to get out into the community. At Cura Aged Care, we know that maintaining a vibrant social life is essential for your health and quality of life. That’s why we offer a range of services and programs specifically designed to foster social connections, especially for seniors accessing Aged Care support

The Importance Of Social Connections For Seniors

At Cura Aged Care, we believe that social connection is a fundamental aspect of your care. We never underestimate the importance of social connections for seniors. In fact, research shows that social engagement contributes to seniors’ emotional wellbeing and overall life satisfaction. Having social connections reduces the risk of loneliness, isolation, and mental health issues.

Through our social initiatives and groups, we create opportunities for seniors to connect with like-minded individuals, form meaningful friendships, and engage in fun activities. These initiatives and social groups provide a supportive and inclusive environment where seniors can share experiences, interests, and laughter.

From outings and events to group exercises and workshops, our aim is to create a vibrant community filled to the brim with social interaction and personal growth.

Variety of Social Groups

At Cura Aged Care, we believe that staying socially connected is just as important as maintaining physical wellbeing. That’s why our Care Partners are here to help match your interests with one of our Wellness Centre social groups or community outings. Whether you’re looking for companionship, creativity, or cultural connection, we’ll guide you toward activities that enrich your life and suit your needs. Activities may be available through your My Aged Care plan or through private funding, and we’ll help you explore options in your local area to ensure accessibility and convenience. With several groups to choose from, you’ll find opportunities to meet new friends and share experiences with people who enjoy similar interests.

Social Visits

Everyone, young and old, deserves to feel valued and connected. Yet as we age, maintaining meaningful social connections becomes more important than ever – and not just with family and friends. Whether it’s engaging in heartfelt conversations, sharing stories, playing games, or simply listening, our compassionate caregivers love to brighten the day of our customers.

Kevin & Dot

We highly recommend Cura Aged Care as a Home Care Provider. We had a very unfortunate time with our first provider and after careful consideration we joined Cura and have had a wonderful relationship with them for the past 2 years. The greatest bliss for us has been the fact that we have one continuous carer, Robin, who is trustworthy and so caring of Dot.
