Rebecca Pacey

Chairperson
Rebecca has held senior executive roles in the resources, IT, professional services, and aged care sectors. She has a diverse background in leading strategy, business transformation, digitalisation through technology and in her passion for people and culture. Rebecca is currently the Executive Director of People & Corporate Services at Infinite Care, a national residential aged care provider. She is an advocate for diversity and inclusion and through her leadership likes to ensure that CALD interests are considered in all people related decisions. Rebecca has worked across multiple Asia Pacific countries, held global roles, and lived in a number of countries outside of Australia.

Letitia Del Fabbro

Director
Letitia Del Fabbro is a registered nurse with extensive experience as both a clinician and educator. Currently a Lecturer in Nursing at Griffith University, she holds a range of qualifications, including a Bachelor of Nursing (BN), a Bachelor of Health Science (Honours) (BHlthSc), a Graduate Diploma in Aboriginal Studies (GradDipA), and a Master of Public Health (MPH). Letitia is also a Fellow of the Public Health Association of Australia (FPHAA) and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA).

Heba Mohtady Ali

Director
Dr. Mohtady Ali is an Egyptian-born medical doctor, international professor, and multidisciplinary senior medical academic with expertise spanning Microbiology, Public Health, Disaster Management, and Medical Education. She is a novelist and educational expert whose mission is to inspire others to learn, grow, and build resilience. She holds two doctoral degrees: a Medical Doctorate from an Egyptian university and a PhD from Griffith University, Queensland, Australia. Her recent PhD research focused on disaster resilience in healthcare, particularly strategies to empower healthcare workers and leaders to better respond to emergencies. This work led to her recognition by the World Health Organization (WHO) as an expert in hospital resilience. In addition to her medical and academic contributions, Dr. Mohtady Ali is an experienced coach, mentor, and leader. Over the past five years, she has focused on organisational and individual resilience, particularly within Queensland’s multicultural communities. Her work includes researching climate change's impact on health, the One Health approach, and emergency response strategies for culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) groups to improve communication and preparedness during crises. Dr. Mohtady Ali’s creative writing explores social issues, especially the challenges faced by women in the Middle East. Through her novels, she seeks to raise awareness and empower women by addressing inequality and social constraints. Her commitment to community resilience extends to her role as Chairperson of GCMAGIC, where she promotes creative writing, mentors aspiring writers, and fosters a supportive network for self-expression. She is a member of the Australian Arabic Cultural Association. She writes a monthly column in Alef Yaa, an Arabic-English magazine in Australia, addressing topics such as immigrant resilience, social integration, and the impact of climate change on vulnerable populations. Her involvement in cultural engagement includes membership and delivering talks with 4EB Radio's Arabic group and co-founding a Brisbane-based book club for Arab women. She also actively participates in conferences, webinars, and cultural events to support strategies that help immigrants become active and resilient members of Australian society. Dr. Mohtady Ali’s diverse contributions reflect her dedication to science, education, and social advocacy, making a meaningful difference locally and internationally.

Director
Ben holds a Bachelor of Information Technology from Griffith University, and an Executive MBA from QUT. Ben is the Chief Operating Officer of Real Estate Investar. He has worked in the IT industry for 12 years with a focus on technical management in web based technologies and has worked in Brisbane, Ireland and the UK.

Director
Leon is a practising solicitor with a top tier international law firm. He specialises in foreign investment and has acted for some of Australia's largest corporations and financial institutions. Leon has studied in Australia, China, France and the Netherlands and previously served as ministerial staff to former Australian Foreign Minister the Hon Julie Bishop. A Burleigh local, Leon is a passionate contributor to his community and is involved in a wide range of community organisations and charities across the southern Gold Coast.

Mirela Malin

Director
Mirela is a Senior Lecturer in Finance at Griffith Business School specialising in teaching Corporate Finance at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. She holds a Bachelor of Business, Bachelor of International Finance (Honours) and PhD from Griffith University. Her published research is focused in the area of higher education teaching as well as behavioural finance. Mirela is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD), a member of Griffith Centre for Personal Finance and Superannuation, and a senior associate of FINSIA (Financial Services Institute of Australia). Mirela held the position of Director of Learning and Teaching in the Department of Accounting Finance and Economics of Griffith Business School, before being appointed as the current Deputy Director of the Griffith MBA. Mirela speaks fluent Romanian.

Mercy Bosha

Director
Mercy has a Master of Nursing degree and has worked as an advanced clincial nurse and lead RN in different specialities for almost two decades. She is a credentialed Nurse Practitioner with a special interest in gerontology and emergency. Mercy has worked with First Nations and CALD communities. Mercy is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors' Foundations of Directorship program.
